Orcas

Project type

Sculptural Lighting

Date

2024

Dimensions

24" x 12"

A custom sculptural pendant inspired by the story of Tokitae and Ocean Sun, her presumed mother. Tokitae was taken from her Southern Resident family in the Salish Sea in 1970 and spent the rest of her life in captivity, never returning home. This piece brings the two orcas together, symbolizing the reunion they never had in life.
